USF Beats Hartford; North Texas Game Rained Out

The USF Bulls won their first game of the double header 7 to 1 over Hartford as they improve to 26-5 on the season (unreal start to the season for Eriksen and his team).

Gina Kafalas went 2 for 2. Ashli Goff went 1 for 2 with an RBI and scored two runs. Stephanie Medina continued her power streak as she launched another home run, finishing the game 1 for 3 with 2 RBIs. Kourtney Salvarola went 2 for 2 with 2 RBIs and Janine Richardson went 1 for 2 with an RBI. Sam Greiner was at her best in this game, working all 7 innings, allowing just 1 hit, 1 run, walking 2 and struck out 4 batters (didn't need to warm up Nevins, this pitching staff is fantastic).

The second game against North Texas was rained out as a mini-monsoon hit Tampa this evening. There has been no make up date for this game. USF will face Rutgers this weekend to open up the Big East portion of the schedule.
