USF Softball Beats Florida State on Walk-off Home Run

The USF Bulls battled 21st ranked FSU and won on a walk-off home run by the bat of Stephanie Medina (last out in the 7th inning) as the Bulls improve to 24-5 on the year.

The offense battled the strong starting pitching of the Noles all game. Kourtney Salvarola went 1 for 3 on the day, Janine Richardson also went 2 for 2. The big blast came from Medina who finished the day 2 for 4 with her home run just making its way over the wall to get the win. Sara Nevins was at her best again as she tossed the entire 7 innings, allowing just 3 hits, 1 run, 1 walk, and struck out 11 batters as she continues to shut down every who steps up to the plate.

This was a huge win for USF as they knock off another ranked opponent (beat 15th ranked Michigan earlier in the year). The Bulls will face UMass tomorrow at 6PM for a single game.
