Top Five Offensive Players from 2011

Now that spring football is over, the long wait for the 2012 season begins.  While we wait, it's a good time to take a look back at some of the top performers from the 2011 season.  The despite the disappointing 5-7 record, there were still plenty of great individual players on both sides of the ball for the Bulls.  We will start on the offensive side of the ball and begin by looking at the top 5 performers on offense.  Here is number 5.

The Offensive Line

While it is not an individual award, the entire offensive line was one of the strengths of the Bulls all season, opening up the running game to keeping Daniels on his feet and protecting his blind side.

Right tackle Mark Popek, right guard Jeremiah Warren, center Chaz Hine, left guard Danous Estenor, and left tackle Quinterrius Eatmon anchored one of the best units in the Big East and proved to be one of the most consistent and talented lines in recent history for the Bulls.

The Bulls have a few holes this spring, replacing Warren and Hine up front on the line, but the returning starters such as Eatmon, will be the leaders up front as the Bulls try to get even better on offense and go after that elusive Big East title.

So how about that?  We have to show some love to the big guys up front on the line, battling in the trenches, and doing all the dirty work to get the skill players pace to do their best.  The offensive line will be key this season and deserves to be recognized for the hard work they put in last year.
