USF Baseball Falls 2 to 3 to Villanova

The USF Bulls, coming off of a big win against Florida on Tuesday, came up just short against Villanova, falling 2 to 3.  The Bulls are now 28-15 (11-5) on the season, dropping them back slightly in their hunt for the Big East title.

Andrew Barbosa was dealing in the game, working 8 strong innings, allowing 6 hits, 3 runs, 1 walk, and struck out 11 batters (showcasing that strong arm).  Adrian Puig worked the 9th inning, striking out 2 batters.

Alex Mendez went 1 for 4 with an RBI single.  Luis Llerena went 2 for 5.  Todd Brazeal went 1 for 3 with a run scored and Andrew Longley went 1 for 3 with another run scored, but it wasn't enough to help support a strong outing by Barbosa.

The Bulls will look to get a win tomorrow when they take the field at 6PM.
