USF Baseball Gets Extra Inning Win Against Cincinnati

The USF Bulls needed 12 innings, but they got the big win over Cincinnati 3 to 2, improving their record to 22-10 (7-1) on the year as they continue to play well in conference play.

Joey Lovecchio got the start for the Bulls.  He worked 8 impressive innings, allowing 6 hits, 2 runs, 1 walk, and struck out 8 batters.  Ray Delphey took over for him, working 1.2 innings, allowing 1 hit and struck out 2 batters.  Nick Gonzalez (got the win to improve to 3-1) worked 1.2 innings, walking one batter.  Steven Leasure got the last two outs of the game.

James Ramsey went 2 for 5 in the game.  Zac Gilcrease went 1 for 2 with the game winning RBI in the 12th inning.  Andrew Longley went 1 for 4 with an RBI as well.

This was a strong performance by the Bulls as they look to keep pace in the Big East.  The Bulls will try to sweep the Bearcats tomorrow as they take the field at 1PM.
