Behind the Arm of Stultz, Bulls Beat UCONN Again

The Bulls got the second win of the series, beating UCONN 3 to 0 behind a strong performance by Derrick Stultz who earned his 8th win over the year (8-1).  USF is now 32-18 (15-8) and finds themselves tied for 2nd place in the Big East.

Stultz went 6 innings, allowing just 4 hits, 1 walk, and fanned 3 batters, keeping a solid Huskies batting order all evening.  Nick Gonzalez earned the save (2) by working the last 3 innings, allowing just 2 hits over the stretch.

The offense did just enough to get the Bulls the win.  Andrew Longley went 2 for 3 with a run scored.  Kyle Teaf (who went 3 for 3 last night) went 1 for 3 and scored a run.  Zac Gilcrease went 2 for 3 with an RBI and scored a run as well.

The Bulls will try to get the sweep tomorrow when they take the field at 1PM.
