Bulls Fall to St. John's in Walk-off in the 9th

The Bulls came up short in the bottom of the 9th inning as St. John's walked-off with the win and the series win, beating USF 5 to 4.  The Bulls are now 30-18 (13-8) after dropping the last two games to the 1st place Red Storm in the Big East conference. 

Derrick Stultz went 6 innings, allowing 6 hits, 2 runs, 1 walk and struck out 3 as he kept the Bulls in the game.  Austin Adams struggled in 2.1 innings, of relief, allowing 4 hits, 3 runs, 1 walk, and struck out 2, allowing the Red Storm to walk-off in the 9th inning. 

Alex Mendez went 3 for 5 with 2 runs scored as he continues his hot season down the stretch.  James Ramsay, batting second, went 1 for 3 with an RBI and walked twice.  Zac Gilcrease went 2 for 3 with a run scored.  Luis Llerena went 2 for 4 with an RBI and scored a run as well. 

The Bulls will take on North Florida on Wednesday for the last non-conference match-up of the year.  After that they will host UCONN for a 3-game series over the weekend before hitting the road to end the regular season with WVU.
