USF Softball No-Hit in Season Finale at Syracuse

The regular season didn't end the way the ladies would have liked it as they fell to Syracuse 0 to 7 and were no hit by Cuse ace pitcher Jenna Caira who went a perfect 7 innings and struck out 8 along the way.  The lose drops the Bulls to 45-10 (17-5) to end the regular season and puts them in the 4th seed for the Big East tournament.

Lindsey Richardson got the start for the Bulls, going 5.1 innings, allowing 4 hits, 5 runs, walked 4 and struck out 7.  Sam Greiner got two outs but allowed 2 hits, 2 runs, and struck out 1 batter.  There was nothing going on for the Bulls on offense as Caira dominated the strike zone and kept all the Bulls off the bases.

The Bulls now head to the Big East tournament which starts on Thursday in South Bend, Indiana.  Stay tuned to the Bull Rush for full coverage of the tournament as the Bulls look to continue their great season.
