Top 11 Moments from 2011: Number 9

At the number 10 moment, we saw a trick play from the USF offense that worked out quite well.  For the number 9 moment, we will stay on the offensive side of the ball and look at a record breaking night at Raymond James Stadium.

USF offensive explosion vs. FAMU

After the Bulls got the upset win against the Irish of Notre Dame early in the season, the Bulls returned home to face in-state foe FAMU.  While the battle of the bands went to the Rattlers, the Bulls took care of business against the Rattlers in convincing style (just watch Daniels throw off the Rattler defender, seeing that should make you smile).

The Bulls totaled 70 points, setting a program record with 745 yards.  USF threw for 477 yards combined, with Daniels throwing for 382 yards and 4 touchdowns.  The Bulls also totaled 268 yards rushing, led by the 146 yards and 3 touchdown effort by Darrell Scott as they Bulls simply dominated the Rattlers.

While it was against an FCS foe and it was expected to be a high scoring game for the Bulls, it was an unreal performance that will always be remembered by the USF fans. (Thanks to Charlie Sibbald for providing the great GIF file of Daniels throwing off that defender in the game).
