Top 5 Defensive Players from 2011: Number 2

At number two on the countdown, is freshman defensive tackle Elkino Watson.  The surprise 4-star recruit out of Miami stepped up big for the Bulls in his first season and became a force in the middle of the defense.

Watson totaled 33 tackles last season (made his first career tackle at Notre Dame) had 8 tackles for loss and had one sack. Watson did well rotating in on the defensive line, getting pressure on opposing quarterbacks and dragging down running backs in the backfield.  He is a big, strong young man that with a year under his belt, is ready for even bigger things in 2012.  With Patrick Hampton going down in spring, he has even more opportunity to grab a starting role on the defense.

So there is number two, Elkino Watson?  Agree he should be ranked at this position or should another player be ranked ahead of him?
