Lindsey Lamar, Back at RB, Ready for Final Season

Lamar, back at running back, could put up carer numbers in his final season in the green and gold.
Football is back and as the Bulls get ready for a highly anticipated season, the team is looking to be more consistent on offense, hoping that their senior class can come through in their final games and help lead the team to the first ever Big East title.  One of the most electric players on the team, senior running back Lindsey Lamar, is a huge weapon that could be an x-factor all season long.

Lamar, the 5-9 180-pound athlete right out of Hillsborough High School here in Tampa, is entering his final season and after last season, he is looking to make his last season on the home town field into a memorable one.

Lamar was moved to wide receiver last season and was limited in the role, getting use to the new position, and learning a new position.  He caught 11 passes for 157 passes for 3 touchdowns last season, rushing 17 times for 150 yards as a running back, moving into the backfield on designed plays.  He also returned 40 kick-offs for 817 yards, a drop off from 2011, not giving the same spark for the Bulls in field position like he did the year before.

Lamar, moved back to running back this season, has added a few pounds, working hard in the weight room and preparing his body for more carries at running back and to be a bigger feature this season.  With his speed, experience and now with more weight to him, he should be ready for the season and the numbers should reflect it this season as he becomes an impact player and gives the team a huge speed boost this season.
