Meet the FSU Coaching Staff

The FSU coaching staff leads one of the most talented teams in the country.  Coach Jimbo Fisher and his staff have recruited and have one of the best teams in the nation.  Let's see who they are and what they are putting together on the field.

Head Coach Jimbo Fisher - Fisher, entering his third season at the helm, took over for Hall of Famer Bobby Bowden and has done a great job, recruiting and reloading the FSU roster to return it to their former glory days.  Fisher joined the FSU staff in 2007 at the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach, bringing in a spread offensive system that gets the team moving and has the Noles flying all over the place with their speed and depth.  Before coming to FSU, Fisher was the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for LSU from 2000 to 2006, showing the pedigree he has.  Before that, he was the OC at Cincinnati for 1 year in 1999.  Prior to that, he was the QB coach at Auburn from 1993 to 1998, and was part of the Samford program from 1988 to 1992.  Fisher has brought FSU back to national prominence and continues to recruit talent on all levels of the team.  He will have his team ready for this game.

OC James Coley  - Calling the plays for the FSU offense is Coley, who is entering his third season as the OC.  Prior to that he was the TE coach from 2008 to 2009.  Before coming to FSU, Coley was the OC at Florida International and spent time with the Dolphins in 2005 and 2006.  Coley brings a spread offensive system that will spread the ball all over the field, use their speed running backs to get huge gains, and for their star quarterback E.J. Manuel to get out in the open field and use his arm and legs to make huge plays.  He is a very creative play caller that will give the Bulls defense a lot of different looks and make the game planning for Coach Cosh and staff difficult.

DC - Mark Stoops - Stoops, the younger brother of Bob Stoops, the HC of Oklahoma, is also entering his third season calling the shots on the defense.  Before he came to Tallahassee, he was the DC for Arizona from 2004 to 2009.  From 2001 to 2003 he was the defensive back coach for Miami.  In 1996, he was the defensive back coach for USF, so it will be a little home coming for him (in a small way).  Stoops has a roster loaded with depth, speed, and talent that will make life hard for Daniels all afternoon.  They can blitz and drop back into coverage and cause issues for the Bulls.
