After beating SMU two nights ago, the Bulls took the field once again to face host team Tulsa in the second game of the Hurricane Classic. After a chippy game with multiple fouls, yellow cards and even a red card (called on Samuel Hosseini late in the game), the Bulls escaped with a 2 to 1 win, improving to 3-0-0 on the season.
Roberto Alterio struck first in the 51st minute on an assist from Lucas Baldin. Tulsa struck back in the second half to tie the game, but thanks to the chippy game (not the best, but it worked) the Bulls got a penalty kick in the 79th minute with Lucas Baldin striking it through to give the Bulls the go-ahead goal and the win. Eric Osswald made 4 saves, working hard as the defense did enough and held strong despite the attack from Tulsa all game long.
The Bulls now return home to face South Carolina on Thursday night as part of the USF tournament, the game begins at 7:30PM. Great road trip by the men as they protect their 4th ranking and continue to play well down the stretch in games.
