USF Men's Soccer Takes on FGCU

The Bulls, after beating Providence, are now 5-2-1 (1-0-0) on the year as they play FGCU for a mid-week non-conference bid before they get back to Big East conference play.  FGCU is 3-3-1 this season, but they are 0-2 away and will be facing the loud crowd at Corbett (game scheduled for 7:30PM).

FGCU is led by senior forward William Morse (6-0 170-pounds) who has 3 goals to lead the team this season and has added an assist.  Freshman forward Fe;o[e DeSousa (5-11 165-pounds) has 2 goals and an assist this season.  Senior midfielder Andreas Navas (5-10 150-pounds) has 1 goal and 2 assists while senior defender Jelani Smith (6-4 195-pounds) has 1 goal.  Freshman midfielder Rodrigo Saravia (5-11 170-pounds) has 2 assists to round out the FGCU offensive attack.  The Bulls defense has been battling tough and Eric Osswald has locked it down in net.  They they continue their strong play and shut down FGCU and keep them off the attack.

In net is sophomore Nathan Ingham (6-2 170-pounds) that has allowed 10 goals and has saved 22 shots on the year.  We are still waiting for the USF offense to get it going and against a goalkeeper that has allowed 1.35 goals per game, they should be able to get the tempo going on their side and really get after FGCU and get ahead early and often in this game.
