USF Volleyball Faces FGCU for a Mid-week Match

The USF Bulls, now 7-5 on the season, play a mid-week game against FGCU on Tuesday night (game begins at 7PM) before they begin Big East play on Saturday.  FGCU is 4-6 on the year and will be looking for a big win on the road.

FGCU is led by junior outside hitter Christine Ponder (5-10) who has 68 kills, 71 digs, and 11 blocks on the season.  Sophomore middle blocker Olivia Mesner (6-2) has 65 kills, 9 digs, and 38 blocks on the year (big time player at the net).  Sophomore setter Gigi Meyer (5-7) has 168 assists and 64 digs on the season.  Senior middle blocker Kailtin Muse (6-1) has 64 kills and 15 digs on the season.  Junior setter Courtney Greenberg (5-7) has 6 kills, 116 assists and has 47 digs.  Overall, FGCU has a solid team and will prove to be a tough challenge for the Bulls as they prepare for their first Big East game on Saturday at Rutgers (game begins at 2PM).

USF needs to come out and carry their momentum that they built over the weekend.  They really need to get this win before they hit the road.
