USF Volleyball Falls, Women's Soccer Wins Big

USF volleyball and women's soccer got the busy sports weekend started for the Bulls tonight with mixed results. The volleyball team, after winning their first set against Louisville, lost in 4 sets, dropping them to 9-7 (1-2) on the year after battling hard.

Kayla Walton had 6 kills and 3 digs.  Andrea Rodriguez Gomez had 7 kills and 3 digs.  Valerie El Houssine had 10 kills and 11 digs.  Claudia Cabrera had 23 digs and Erin Fairs had 17 kills and 15 digs in the losing effort.


The ladies will take on Cincinnati on Sunday at 1PM as they look to rebound after this tough loss.

The women's soccer cranked up the offense against Bearcats of Cincinnati winning 4 to 1 in a strong showing on all sides of the ball for the Bulls.

Down early, the Bulls got on the board with a goal in the 45th minute on a goal from Sharla Passariello, who was assisted from Olivia Chance and Taylor Patterson.  USF got it going early in the second half with a goal in the 53rd minute from Demi Stokes, set up by Passariello (she was all over the field).  In the 56th minute, Olivia Chance scored on an assist from Kayla Bala.  In the 58th minute, USF sealed it for good from a goal from Daniella Andrade, set up by Passariello once more.

USF will face Louisville on Sunday at 1PM.
