USF Volleyball Splits Two Games Yesterday

The USF volleyball split their final two games of the NC State Invitational tournament yesterday, finishing the road trip with an overall record of 2-4. 

In the first game, USF dominated VCU who did enter the game with a 4-0 record.  The Bulls won in three sets, never letting up on the pressure.  Andrea Rodriguez Gomez had 4 kills and 3 digs.  Kayla Walton had 9 kills.  Claudia Cabrera had 7 digs.  Valerie El Houssine had 15 kills (beast mode) and Wylie Devlin had 17 assists.

In the second game, the Bulls battled Kent State into the 5th set before falling to the Golden Flashes.  Valerie El Houssine had 17 kills and 17 digs.  Ciara Brown had 10 kills.  Claudia Cabrera had 22 digs.  Natalia Soares had 28 assists and Wylie Devlin had 21 assists and 12 digs. 

The ladies will next face Southeast Missouri State next Friday at 4:30PM as part of the St. Louis Tournament (rolling up the frequent flyer miles already).
