USF Wraps-up Saint Louis Tournament by Sweeping Both Games

The USF Bulls played two games today as they wrapped up their Saint Louis tournament run by taking both games against Evansville and Saint Louis and running their record to 4-5 on the year.

In the first game, the Bulls defeated Evansville in 4 sets (25 to 19, 25 to 22, 23 to 25, 25 to 13), taking control late in the 4th set and giving Coach Draper her 3rd win on the season.  

Andrea Rodriguez Gomez had 6 kills, 9 digs, and 3 service aces in the game.  Caitlyn Breen had 9 kills.  Erin Fairs had 11 kills and 13 digs.  Wylie Devlin had 30 assists and 14 digs.  Valerie El Houssine had 18 kills and 10 digs as she continues her strong start to her sophomore season.  Ciara Brown had 8 kills and 7 digs as she continues to play well early in her freshman season.

In the second game against Saint Louis, the Bulls won in straight sets, 25 to 20, 25 to 21, and 27 to 25 to take the game and sweep the day.

Erin Fairs had 9 kills and 8 digs on the day.  Wylie Devlin had 17 assists and 4 digs.  Valerie El Houssine had 4 kills and 7 digs.  Ciara Brown had 8 kills and 4 digs and Claudia Cabrera had 15 digs to help round out a great day for the ladies.

The Bulls will face James Madison on Friday night at 6PM as the return home to begin the USF tournament and look to bring home the momentum they built on this road trip.
