Scouting Temple: Defense

The Bulls are facing a Temple defense that tends to give up a lot of yards both on the ground (176 per game) and a few through the air (220 per game).  The Bulls offense will have to take advantage and see if they can't attack in this game.  Let's see who they are facing in this game.

At defensive end is senior Marcus Green (6-1 240-pounds) who has 15 tackles, 1 sack and 1.5 tackles for loss.  Behind him is junior Sean Daniels (6-3 230-pounds) who has 8 tackles and 1 sack on the season.  At the other end position is senior John Youboty (6-4 25-pounds) who has 11 tackles and 1 sack on the year.  Behind him is senior Kadeem Curtis (6-4 295-pounds) who has 5 tackles and 1 sack on the year.  At defensive tackle is junior Kamal Johnson (6-4 295-pounds) who has 7 tackles (not getting a big pass rush on the year).  Behind him is junior Shahid Pauhill (6-3 288-pounds).  At nose tackle is junior Levi Brown (6-2 300-pounds) who has 8 tackles and 1 tackle for loss.  Behind him is redshirt freshman Hershey Walton (6-4 290-pounds). 

At the WILL linebacker position is senior Ahkeem Smith (6-0 215-pounds) who has 7 tackles and 1 tackle for loss on the season.  Behind him is freshman Tyler Matakevich (6-1 220-pounds) and junior Blaze Capinegro (6-1 218-pounds).  At the MIKE linebacker position is redshirt freshman Nate D. Smith (6-0 230-pounds) who leads the team with 21 tackles and 1 tackle for loss this season. Behind him is junior Gary Onevkwusi (6-1 235-pounds). At the SAM linebacker position is junior Olaniyi Adewole (6-2 228-pounds) who has 20 tackles, 3 tackles for loss and 1 tackle loss.  It will be interesting to see who their linebackers make tackles in space against the USF skill players.

Starting at cornerback is sophomore Anthony Robey (5-10 180-pounds) who has 17 tackles, 2 tackles for loss and 1 sack.  Behind him is senior Maurice Jones (5-10 195-pounds) who has 3 tackles and sophomore Daquan Cooper (6-0 175-pounds).  At the other cornerback spot is junior Zamel Johnson (6-0 170-pounds) who has 7 tackles and 1 tackle for loss on the year.  Behind him is senior Abdul Smith (6-0 205-pounds) who has 2 tackles and freshman Tavon Young (5-10 159-pounds) who has 4 tackles, 1 tackle for loss and one interception on the season.  At free safety is senior Vaughn Carraway (6-2 192-pounds) who has 14 tackles and 1 interception on the season.  Behind him is sophomore Brian Burns (6-0 185-pounds).  At strong safety is senior Justin Gildea (5-11 190-pounds) has 16 tackles on the season.  Behind him is sophomore Christ Hutton (5-10 185-pounds).
