Top Match-ups for USF vs. Temple

The individual match-ups are huge in this game as the Bulls look to make some noise in league play.  Let's take a look at the 5 biggest ones to watch in this game.

DE Tevin Mims vs. QB Chris Coyer - Mims continues to excel off the edge for the Bulls and has been making a lot of tackles.  His duty will be to not only to contain the run, but get pressure on Coyer who is not the best pocket quarterback in the league.  Mims has to get pressure and get Coyer to throw it into traffic and help the secondary get their first pick of the year.

LB Sam Barrington vs. RB Matt Brown - Brown is the go-to running back for Temple and the front 7 will be busy tackling the Temple running backs all game.  Barrington, one of the best for USF in the middle of the defense will have to stay in the gaps and wrap up Brown and not allow him to get big gains against us.

RB Demetris Murray vs. LB Ahkeem Shmith - The offense is looking for more consistency and one way to solve that is get the ball going on the ground with Murray.  The running back has been hot and cold this year and with Daniels needing help in the running game, he has to hit the gaps hard and chew up the yards and keep the offense moving on the field.

TE Evan Landi vs. FS Vaughn Carraway - Landi, the few times he has been targeted, has come up big for the passing game.  He will be matching up against Carraway and will have the size and height advantage.  If Daniels can get him the ball, he will be able to create big plays down the middle of the field for the Bulls and keep drives alive.

C Austin Reiter vs. NT Levi Brown - Reiter has been up and down in his first season as the center.  Against a big body is Brown, Reiter will have to do a better job protecting Daniels and getting that burst off the snap to get Brown back and help open up the running lanes for Daniels and the running backs.
