USF Men's Soccer Takes on Rutgers at Corbett

The USF men's soccer team returns home to take on Big East foe Rutgers (game begins at 7:30PM).  At 6-2-3 (1-0-2) are looking to break through after a few ties to get a big win in league play.  RU, 5-4-0 (1-2-0) are struggling a bit, a perfect chance for USF to get a big victory.

RU is led by freshman midfielder Mael Corboz has 2 goals and 3 assists this season.  Freshman forward/midfielder Kene Eze leads the season with 4 goals.  Freshman defender Mitchell Taintor has 2 goals, leading the very young RU team.  Sophomore midfielder Max Moller has 1 goal and 1 assist.  Sophomore midfielder Nathan Bruccoleri has 1 assist to round out their offensive attack.  Rutgers is young this season and has led to some of their struggles this year.  The USF backline with Osswald leading the show, must dictate the pressure to them and shut them down.

In net is senior Kevin McMullen has allowed just 9 goals this season and has made 42 saves.  With a young team ahead of him, McMullen is taking the work load and having to step up in each game in net.  The Bulls need to get after it, dictate the tempo and come after Rutgers.  The Bulls have to take a lot of shots and continually come after RU and get them on their heels.
