USF Women's Soccer Takes on Syracuse

The USF women's soccer returns home to take on Syracuse (game begins at 730PM).  After winning two huge games on the road over the weekend, the ladies, 8-4-2 (4-1-2), are looking to keep the momentum going as they return home to Corbett field, but the Orange won't be an easy task.  Cuse, 8-4-2 (5-1-1) is sitting towards the top of the conference standings and will be trying to add another big win to their resume.

Cuse is led by senior Alysc Mottershead who leads the team with 4 goals and 2 assists on the year.  Senior Jenna Rickan has 2 goals and 6 assists.  Freshman Jackie Firenze has 4 goals.  Freshman Erin Simon has 3 goals and 2 assists.  Sophomore Alexis Koval has 3 goals and 2 assists to round out their offensive attack.  Overall, the Cuse offense is very balanced and has a lot of strikers that can get to the net.  Christiane Endler, who dominated last weekend on the road, will have to bring her best in this match-up if she wants to keep Cuse off the board.

In net is junior Brittany Anghel.  She has allowed 15 goals this season and has made 50 saves.  The USF offense led by Sharla Passariello, has been aggressive and moving the ball well.  Other players such as Marsha Harper and Demi Stokes, are adding firepower to the front line and are helping the Bulls offense strike early.  The ladies will need to continue that momentum and go on the attack in this game, keeping Cuse on their heels.
