Ladies Fall to St. John's

Andrea Smith led the way for USF with 27 points, but it wasn't enough (Picture credits: www.gousfbulls.com)
The USF ladies suffered a tough loss at home last night, falling to #25 St. John's 80 to 60. The game was close in the first half, but poor shooting (free throws too) and turnovers doomed the Bulls to a losing season. Now at 10-16 (1-11) they are hoping to finish the year on a positive note.

Andrea Smith carried the team last night, scoring 27 points, but shot 10-23 from the field. Twin sister Andrell Smith, scored 12 points. Leondra Doomes-Stephens scored 7 points as well. The Bulls simply could not keep up with the hot shooting of the Red Storm and fell behind big in the second half in front of a crowd of only 5893 (from gousfbulls.com).

The Bulls are at home again on the 19th as they host Louisville 16-10 (7-5). Please come to the Sun Dome to support this team and cheer for Fernandez and his team as they try to get something positive in the last few games of the season.
