USF Baseball in Action Tonight

The Bulls, fresh off of a win over Rutgers and taking the series 2 to 1 are on the road tonight as they take on in-state foe Stetson. Stetson (hometown of Deland for me) are 25-7 and are one of the best teams the Bulls will be facing all season.

The Bulls split a double header last season against the Hatters, but will be facing a solid Stetson team that has great hitting and pitching. The Bulls offense, which had been the weakness of the team all year long, came to life against Rutgers, recording 14 hits in two straight games. With solid hitting and timely hitting, the Bulls are starting to play up to the expectations that followed them entering the 2011 season. They are 15-16 (4-3) and hoping that this brief road trip will get them back to .500 as they head down the stretch in Big East play.

This is going to be a tough game for the Bulls, Stetson is a solid squad and USF will be on the road, not the best place for them. They will have to come out swinging early and try to attack the Stetson pitching, getting on base and scoring early before Stetson has a chance to do any major damage.

First pitch is at 6:30 PM, GO BULLS.
