USF Lands Pensacola HS Star Commit

From Adam Adkins - The Bulls have landed the fourth verbal commitment for the class of 2012 from Pensacola athlete Jalen Spencer. Spencer(6'2" 185-pounds) gave USF a verbal commitment after a recent junior day visit because he feels like USF is a home to him, enjoyed the new facilities, and felt comfortable with the coaches.

Spencer is a quarterback, but is being recruited as a cornerback. He has great speed and athletic ability and should be able to make the transition easily at the next level. USF is thin at corner this season and this is one of the biggest needs in the 2012 recruiting class. This is a huge pick up for the Bulls as they continue to build a solid foundation for the greatness ahead.

  1. Looks like the beginning of a solid recruiting class. Just hope we can hold onto Reno Henderson, he seemed too good to be true.

  2. Right now everyone is a verbal commitment and Reno is the same. A lot will happen before the season even begins, but hopefully the offer for him is true and he will be able to sign the LOI next season with us.
