USF continues to recruit star players to its offensive line. After signing several players in the 2011 recruiting class, Holtz and staff are busy at it again offering local talent. The most recent offer has been extended to Armwood offensive lineman Kevin McCoy (6'5" 275-pounds).
McCoy has been considered an under the radar type prospect, but this has not stopped USF from extending an offer. McCoy will have to put on some weight in the weight room, but has a huge frame and athletic feet for a player his size, making his ideal at the tackle position. USF is the first school to offer McCoy, but with some of his recent success during his junior year, other programs will soon offer, so it is a great first move by USF to offer him.
USF has depth at the offensive line, but Holtz understands the need for even more depth due to injuries that may occur and overall skill level of the line must be sustained. Hopefully they can recruit this young man, he seems to have a ton of talent and would be a great fit playing for USF.
