Big East Releases USF Women's Conference Schedule

Coach Fernandez is going to have a hard time with the USF "home schedule" this season.

From Adam Adkins - The Big East announced the women's 2011-2012 conference (home-away) scheduled (no official dates have been announced as of yet). The Big East is one of the toughest basketball conferences and while the Bulls will have a hard time, they will at least know what is ahead of them.

Home games: DePaul, Georgetown, Pittsburgh, Providence, Rutgers, Villanova, West Virginia

Away games: Cincinnati, Connecticut, Louisville, Marquette, Notre Dame, St. John’s, Syracuse
Repeat opponent (home and away): Seton Hall

Seton Hall had just one conference win last season, so the Bulls did luck out there with them as their repeat opponent. 6 of the 8 road teams the Bulls will have made the NCAA tournament, including ND and UCONN who both made the final four (seriously, UCONN has to be cheating right?).

Now the 2011-2012 season is going to be a difficult one for both women's and men's programs. The Sun Dome will be undergoing its much needed rennovation and won't be completed until May 2012, which leaves the Bulls homeless for the home portion of the schedule. The Bulls are still looking for possible locations to play their home games. Locations such as the St. Pete Times Forum and Lakeland have all been listed as possible sites, but nothing has been made official yet.

The Bulls are loaded with talent again this season and has a strong group of guards and interior players that can all score and run the high tempo, three point shooting system of Coach Jose Fernandez. Hopefully the season will be a success and by next season, the Bulls will be back home on campus to play their "home" games.
