Bulls in the NFL: Carlton Mitchell with the Browns

Carlton Mitchell is hoping to stay healthy this season with the Browns.

There are a lot of Bulls making their way in the NFL and while we have taken a look at several of the defensive players, there are a handful making their way on offense as well. Probably one of the better offensive players to suit up for Bulls over the past few season is looking to get going in his career with the Browns, wide receiver Carlton Mitchell. [keep reading]

Mitchell, the 6-3 215-pound pass catcher had a rough 2010 season. He appeared in just 5 games before missing the rest of the season due to an injury. In those games he failed to record a catch.

The former 6th round pick enters the 2011 season listed behind Brian Robiskie, the former Ohio State star. Mitchell has all the physical tools needed to become a solid receiver in the NFL and help stretch the field and use his size to create redzone nightmares for opposing NFL defensive backs.

Mitchell was one of the best deep threats in recent USF history. He finished his career with the Bulls by starting in 18 of his 37 career games. He made 105 receptions for 1048 yards and hauled in 9 touchdowns during his time in Tampa. Carlton is a dynamic player (funny guy as well, follow him on twitter @C_Mitch18), but recently left the Browns practice with a shoulder injury. There is no report on how bad the injury is, but it does appear minor and he should be back out on the practice field soon. We hope he is healthy and has a huge season for the Browns!
