Tyler Cameron Announces for the Bulls

From USF 247 - After months of recruiting and speculation, 4-star Jupiter High School dual-threat QB Tyler Cameron was ready to end the recruiting process. The talented star had narrowed his options down to Illinois, Purdue, LSU, and South Florida. His early list of offers included the likes of Cincinnati, Michigan State, Wake Forest, and Boston College among a good amount of others. Being from Palm Beach County, I happened to know someone close to the situation, and my Twitter followers got an eyeful of this:

The #6 quarterback of the 2012 class comes to a squad that will have two pro-style QBs behind the experienced dual-threat B.J. Daniels. At 6'3", 215 lbs Cameron has good size and has the talent to play immediately, but since Daniels will be a Senior, it wouldn't surprise us to see him redshirted in his freshman year. Everyone knows no commitment is final until the guys show up on the field (and sometimes not even then), but if all these current players stick to their word, then USF will be adding another 4-star athlete to an already outstanding recruiting class that was ranked 20th in the country in Rivals.com's initial 2012 rankings.

  4. It's an awesome commit if he sticks and signs next year. He will enroll early too, giving him a big head start. Should be interesting to see a left hander to get a chance.

  6. He does kind of seem like a young Tebow... and since Tebow was god-like in college, hopefully this kid follows suit

  7. I am glad we are pulling that kind of interest to the school, now with a lot of the top one enrolling early (Sean Prices, Chris Bivins & TyCam) I'm almost sure they're locks at this point unless a total meltdown

  8. What is fun to see with the recruits is how close they are. They are all friends, meeting at the Sling-n-shoot camps, etc. and talk to each other about how they want to take USF to another level. That alone is huge and the fan base should be energized by this.

  9. Holtz has been pretty quiet in his recruiting, but he's definitely doing something right
