Rush Through the Roster: Hugh Robertson

Last time we took a look at a newcomer, Victor Rudd, time to take a look at a player that became a fan favorite, guard Hugh Robertson. Robertson quietly had a solid season for the Bulls, starting nearly every game, time to see what he is all about.

Last season: Robertson joined the Bulls last season, coming over from the junior college rank. Robertson started 31 of 33 games for Heath, averaging 8.3 points per game and 4.6 rebounds per game. He shot 40.4% from the floor, 32.2% from 3-points range, and 70.8% from the free throw line. He scored a career high against James Madison, totaling 19 points.

Outlook for this season: Robertson is a solid wingman. He has a solid shot, excellent ball skills, and works hard on defense. Robertson started a lot of games last season, but is battling with the newcomers like Nash, Collins, and other guards such as Noriega and Dority to stay in the starting rotation. He will most likely end up winning the other guard position, depending on what happens during the practices. No matter how he gets on the court, he will continue to put in solid minutes and hopefully contribute to a few more USF wins.
