The Bulls 11-15 (7-6) continues their road trip as they take on the Pitt Panthers in the last regular season in Big East play as the Bulls try to get into the Big East tournament and keep their season alive.
Pitt enters the game at 17-12 (6-7) including 11-7 at home this season. They are sitting ahead of the Bulls, so the ladies need to come out and take care of business on the road to get into the tournament.
Pitt is led by senior middle-blocker Kiesha Leggs (6-3). She leads the team with 377 kills, 3 service aces, and 41 digs, taking care of business at the net. Sophomore outside-hitter Monica Wignot (6-2) has 339 kills, 17 assists, 36 service aces, and 189 digs on the season, giving Pitt a solid tandem at the net.
Junior middle-blocker Jasmine Dittrich (5-11) has 164 kills and 24 digs. Freshman setter Lindsey Zitzke (5-110 has 54 kills, 1093 assists (insane number), 256 digs, and 43 assists on the year (not bad for a young player on the field). Junior Margy Acton (5-6) has 84 assists, 440 digs, and 21 service aces on the season. Freshman Delaney Clesen (5-8) has 20 assists, 29 service aces (a lot of aces during the serve of the game), and has 258 digs on the season.
USF will rely on El Houssine, Janice Rivera, J'beria Davis, and others to get another huge road win. This game will be a tough fight for them, but with the 5 set win over WVU helps get them momentum as they head to Pitt. Best of luck ladies!
