USF WBB Falls to Arkansas 61 to 65

Fernandez and team came up short again.

The USF ladies dropped a tough game in overtime to Arkansas 61 to 65, dropping to 0-2 on the season as they continue to struggle getting offense going without Andrea Smith. The Bulls led for the entire first half, but fell apart late, allowing the Razorbacks to get back into the game and pulled it out in OT.

Jasmine Wynne had 9 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists as she continues her strong start to the season. Kaneisha Saunders led the team with 16 points (5 of 18 shooting) and pulled down 5 rebounds. Caitlin Rowe had 8 points (3 of 12 shooting, rough day) but pulled down 14 rebounds to lead the team once more. Andrell Smith had 12 points and pulled in 9 rebounds, but turned the ball over 5 times, hurting the Bulls as they fell short in this game.

The ladies need to regroup after this tough loss. 0-2 to start the season is not what Fernandez wanted to do, but the Bulls will have to learn from this, put it behind them, and get ready for the game against Minnesota tomorrow afternoon (game starts at 4:30 PM).
