Alma Mater Weekend: USF Wins, Journey Complete

The weekend comes to an end, but what an end it was.
The alma mater weekend is over and what better way to finish it than a big victory by the Bulls over Providence. The day began with leaving the hotel and a trip down to the Channelside area, the heart of the South Tampa and right next to the port.

We made our way to Channelside district with 3 cruise ships that were docked in the port waiting to take people out for great vacations, but we had more important things to do like get ready for USF basketball!  We headed over to Splitsville, a great Channelside bar to grab some lunch before the game and talk all about the upcoming game.

We made our way to the game after enjoying our down in Channelside, we got to the Forum right in time for the start of the game!  The Forum was very loud, the fans brought their high energy to the game despite being 20 minutes away from the campus.

The Bulls battled hard during the game and were able to overcome some bad calls against us and some real bad fouls late in the game that allowed the Friars to get the game close. But the incredible play of growing stars like Anthony Collins put the Bulls ahead for good as they notched their 6th conference win of the season (had just 4 last year).

Sadly the weekend came to an end, but it was a great one.  As I sadly returned the incredible S60 to the dealership I can look back at the great weekend that was. Once again, thanks to Volvo for the incredible hospitality over the weekend and the incredible opportunities they have given me.  This was one of the greatest trips I have had and am glad it was all capped off with another USF win!
