USF Drops Rough Game to Marquette

It was a rough night for everyone.
It was a rough night for the USF Bulls as they lost to Marquette 47 to 67. The Bulls are now 12-9 (5-3) on the season as they try to put this game behind them and prepare for the game against Providence on Sunday afternoon.

The Bulls shot just 35% from the floor, 28% from 3-point range and 73% from the free throw line (not getting it done). The Bulls committed 20 turnovers to just 10 assists on the night as the team failed to find a spark on offense as the Eagles ran away with the game.

Augustus Gilchrist had just 5 points and 2 rebounds as he dealt with foul trouble during the game. Anthony Collins had 6 points, 3 assists, but turned the ball over 4 times (still young and learning). Ron Anderson Jr. had no points and fouled out in the game, showing how the Eagles attacked the USF big men inside. Victor Rudd had 10 points (shot just 1 of 4 from 3-point range) and had 3 rebounds. Hugh Robertson had 5 points and 4 rebounds, going quiet in the second half of the game. Toarlyn Fitzpatrick had a big night for the Bulls, the loan bright spot from the game. He had 19 points and 10 rebounds off the bench for Heath. Jawanza Poland had just 2 points and 5 rebounds after a strong game in the last outing.

This was a rough night for the Bulls. Foul trouble and the shooting from Marquette put the Bulls in a hole early and they could not find their way out of it. The Bulls didn't have an answer on offense as the Eagles ran away. The Bulls will have to put this game behind them and regroup with Providence coming to town on Sunday afternoon (game starts at 2PM).
