USF MBB Beats Pitt on the Road

AC is just ice cold, get use to it.
The USF Bulls, facing a huge test on the road, were able to rally and win a huge game 56 to 47 over Pitt as they improve to 17-10 (10-5) on the season. The Bulls jumped out to a 15 to 4 lead, but the Panthers rallied at the end of the half to cut it to a one point game before USF rallied to to widen the game and close out for the huge victory.

Anthony Collins was the man again tonight. He had 22 points (a career high) with 6 assists and 2 steals. Augustus Gilchrist had 8 points and 3 points (had several turnovers as well, not the best night for him). Ron Anderson Jr had 2 points, but pulled down 9 rebounds. Victor Rudd had 11 points and 6 rebounds on the night. Hugh Robertson had 3 points and 5 rebounds, helping to lock down the defense for USF. Toarlyn Fitzpatrick had 8 points and 5 rebounds off the bench. Jawanza Poland had 2 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists as well.

This was a huge win for USF, no question about it. 17 wins, 10 in Big East play. Last year the team had just 10 wins, so to say the team is turning it around, is an understatement. The Bulls are playing great defense and working well, but now must hit the road again as they take on Syracuse on Wednesday (7PM start time).
