USF Softball Knocks Off 15th Ranked Michigan

In case you haven't heard, Nevins is good at this softball thing (Picture: www.tbo.com)
The great start to the 2012 season continued tonight as the USF ladies (recently ranked 23rd in the nation) knocked off 15th ranked Michigan 2 to 0 to improve to 11-2 on the season.

Sara Nevins was once again dominating in the circle.  She went all 7 innings, allowing 6 hits, 1 walk, and struck out 8 batters as she improves to 4-1 on the season.  Gina Kafalas was 2 for 2 on  the night.  Kourtney Salvarola was for 1 for 3, driving in Ashli Goff for the game's first run in the 3rd inning.  Laura Fountain went 1 for 3, driving in Kenshyra Jackson (went 1 for 2) in the 4th inning, that would be all Nevins needed for the night.

This was another huge win for the ladies as they continue to roll along to start the year, racking up the wins in dominating fashion.  The ladies will head to Clearwater for the weekend for two double headers in the USF Under Armour Invitational at the Eddie C. Moore Complex.  The Bulls have a great chance to get a few more wins this weekend and continue this terrific start.
