The Bulls played two games in a special double header. The first game was against Central Connecticut and the second game was a friendly exhibition game against the nation team from the Netherlands.
In the first game, the Bulls won 10 to 0 in 6 innings, getting plenty of production from everyone in the batting order. Gina Kafalas was 3 for 4 and scored 2 runs. Ashli Goff was 3 for 3. Kenshyra Jackson was 2 for 3. Stephanie Medina was 2 for 3. Janine Richardson was 3 for 4 including a 3-run home run. Jessica Mouse was also 2 for 3 with 3 RBIs. Sara Nevins worked 6 innings, striking out 6 batters. It is her first no hitter and the first for USF since 2003. This was another strong game as the Bulls improved to 18-4 on the year.
The second game, against the Netherlands national team, the Bulls lost 1 to 8, but the score doesn't matter for this one. Many players that normally do not play or start got a great learning experience playing in this game. Sam Greiner struck out 4 during the game, Salvarola had an RBI in the game. The Bulls played hard and will use this game as a learning opportunity as they continue their great season.
The Bulls will return to action tomorrow afternoon back on campus as they host Toledo at 3:30. At 18-4, the Bulls will be looking to continue their impressive play at home and notch another big win.
