Honoring the USF Seniors

It's senior night for the USF Bulls.  4 Bulls will be suiting up for the last time at home for this game and it's time to honor everything they  have done, not only for this season, but over their careers.

Augustus Gilchrist (6-10 235-pound - forward - Clinton, Maryland) - Gilchrist returned to USF after flirting with the idea of going to the NBA at the end of the 2011 season.  The big man has had a somewhat disappointing season, missing some time due to injury, and struggling at times to find his mid-range game, but he has still be a solid post player for Heath this season.  He averaging 9.9 points per game (went over 1000 points this year in his career), 4.8 rebounds per game, has 31 blocks, and added 13 steals.  Gilchrist has been a solid scorer and great defender his entire career and will be missed in the post next year.

Ron Anderson Jr. (6-8 237-pounds - forward - Upper Marlboro, Maryland) - The Secretary of Defense, the heart beat of the defense, and the emotional leader of the team, Anderson Jr., has been the catalyst for the team and the ring leader of the defense. The former Kansas State transfer has become a big time leader for the Bulls, both by example and his play on the court.  He has averaged 7.5 points per game, 5.7 rebounds per game, has 19 blocks, and 10 steals.  He plays hard defense and fires up the team on each possession.  Anderson has given it his all in just his short two years at USF and they have been great.

Hugh Robertson (6-6 200-pounds - guard - Macon, Georgia) - Arguably the best one-on-one defender the Bulls, Hugh has been a solid, all-around player over the past two seasons for Coach Heath.  This year, Hugh is averaging 6.7 points per game, 4.5 rebounds per game, and has 20 steals on the season, but the numbers don't show how important he is to the defense.  Hugh is regularly asked to guard the top scorers in the Big East such as Maalik Wayns or Ashton Gibbs, and night after night, Hugh holds down some of the top scorers to career lows and frustrates each shooter.  Hugh is a quiet player, letting his great defense do the talking on the floor.

Alberto Damour (6-5 216-pounds - forward - Poinciana, Florida) - Damour is a walk-on, so he hasn't played much this season, totaling action in just 6 games (1.2 points per contest).  While he doesn't get on the court, he is always there to cheer on his team, in the middle of every huddle, works hard every day in practice.

Thank you to all the seniors and everything you have done for the team, the program, and the university.
