Know Thy Enemy: West Virginia

The final game of the season here as the Bulls, chasing an NCAA bid for the first time in 20 years will face WVU to close out the regular season.  WVU is on the bubble as well and will be looking to ruin senior night and get a huge road win before the Big East tournament.  To find out about WVU, I got some inside information from Jim to find out what the Mountaineers are all about (make sure to check out  for Jim's site , Hail WV, before they head to the Big 12).

1. How good is Kevin Jones this season and how can USF try to slow him down both on offense and his rebounding?

Frankly, when Dick Vitale says he should be Big East Player of the Year (but very likely won't get it because of Meatball in Providence), that alone speaks for itself. The undisputed leader of this year's team while he leads the league in points & rebounds (doing it without any help from his teammates).

2. How long will fans have to wait in the game for Coach Huggins to snap and begin screaming at his team?

Probably before the first TV timeout. Anyone wanna take this bet?

3. Kilicli has really improved his inside game this season.  Last year he was a big guy that could dunk, but now he has added a mid-range shot and has better footwork.  What has been the biggest change with him from last season?

This past summer, he got to stick around in Morgantown and work on his game the way Huggins wanted it worked on, instead of being forced to stay in Turkey by the Turkish government and being forced to play on their national team, which obviously plays more "Euro-style" ball. Plus, he has a killer hook shot!

4. What are your thoughts of WVU playing its last Big East regular season game ever?

I've seen Federal Elections decided in Supreme Court, I've seen huge companies collapse, I've seen dicatatorships collapse, I've seen wars happen all of a sudden, but I never thought I'd live to see WVU leaving the Big East. That's how big of a deal it is to me. 

5. Final score prediction?

Hmm... I'm gunna give WVU the advantage (obviously), 69-65

6. Bonus question, what was your reaction when Coach Buzz Williams was scene dancing a little bit on the center court before his interview?

Gee, thanks, Matt... not like I have anger issues as it is. When I saw that overgrown Bobby Hill look-a-like do his little dance, I wanted to throw my iPhone at my TV I was so angry. But, then I realized I didn't have the money to replace an iPhone and a flatscreen TV. So I just turned the channel hoping to find "Doomsday Preppers", but wound up landing on FX... I think .
