NOW WILL YOU GO TO SOFTBALL GAMES PLEASE

If you thought you needed some more convincing to go to softball games, consider yourself convinced. USF just traveled to #4 ranked Florida and pummeled them. They'll be awaiting a top-20 ranking next week, and they've already achieved 30 wins. Last year, Coach Ken Ericksen said they'd need 35 to make the tournament. They're five wins away from that mark now, and they still have a month and a half left in the regular season. Riding a ten-game winning streak, they're about to travel to Pitt to try and go 6-0 in the Big East.

Virtually, the only real threat to USF's chances at grabbing the Big East title is Louisville, who is still undefeated. But aside from that, the only other teams who gave USF trouble last year, DePaul and Notre Dame, have been left off the schedule. Things look favorable for the ladies.

The Bulls return home next weekend for a Friday doubleheader and a Saturday single game against St. Johns. Then, they have a Wednesday doubleheader against Providence. There is a possibility that USF could be on a 20-game winning streak before they head into Louisville for the hard part of the schedule. This team has earned all the support it gets from the loyal fans. And they deserve even more. I strongly recommend that you all go see these ladies in what could be a particularly special season.
