USF Baseball Beats Notre Dame in Second Game of the Series

The USF Bulls brought out the bats tonight, beating Notre Dame 11 to 6 to even the series up.  USF is now 19-9 (4-1) on the year now with the strong come back win and will look to take the series tomorrow at 1PM. 

Joey Lovecchio got the start, working 6.2 innings, allowing 8 hits, 4 runs, 1 walk, and struck out 3 batters.  Nick Gonzalez went 1.1 innings, allowing 2 hits, 1 run, 2 walks, and struck out 1 batter.  Adrian Puig went 1 inning, allowing a hit, a walk, a run, and struck out one batter. 

Alex Mendez went 1 for 3 with 3 RBIs.  Chad Taylor went 3 for 5 with 1 RBI.  Daniel Rockhold went 1 for 4 with a home run.  Jimmy Fall went 2 for 5 with an RBI.  Zac Gilcrease went 2 for 3 and scored 2 runs and Luis Llerena went 2 for 3 with 3 RBIs. 

This is a strong win for USF after they dropped the first game in extra innings.  The Bulls will look to take the series tomorrow at 1PM before they take on Stetson on Tuesday night.
