USF Baseball Completes Sweep of Savannah State with 5 to 3 Victory

The offense continued to roll today as the Bulls completed the 3-game sweep of Savannah State, winning 5 to 3.  The bats came to life this weekend, scoring a total of 34 runs in the 3 games as the Bulls rolled and got incredible pitching from the entire staff in the process.

Andrew Barbosa got the start today, working 5 innings (longest outing of the year so far for him) allowing just 1 hit and struck out 6 as he continues to work his way back.  Adrian Puig worked 2 innings, allowing 1 hit, 3 runs (on two errors), walked 1 and struck out 2.  Austin Adams finished the day with 2 innings, 1 hit, and struck out 1 batter.

The offense continued to roll today.  James Ramsay went 2 for 3.  Daniel Rockhold went 1 for 1 with 3 RBIs as he capped off a monster weekend.  Jimmy Falla went 2 for 4, Kyle Teaf went 1 for 3, and Chad Taylor went 0 for with 3 with 2 runs scored as well.

This was a great weekend for the team after they played an exhibition against the Yankees, they were able to refocus and get back to the winning ways as they look to continue the strong play and protect home field.  USF will next face Jacksonville for two games starting on Tuesday night (game starts at 7PM).
