The USF Bulls, after splitting the double header on Saturday, return to action as they try to improve their 12-3 record. The Bulls will need their best in these two games if they want to increase their record and dominate the weekend.
In the first game, USF faces Harvard (game beings at noon). Harvard is 2-2 to start the season.
Sophomore infielder Kasey Lange is batting .333 with a triple to start the year. Senior infielder/outfielder Kassy Shiotani is hit-less so far to begin the year, but batted .412 with 2 home runs last year, so the Bulls don't want her to get heated up. Junior outfielder/1st baseman Stephanie Regan is batting .444 with an RBI. Sophomore catcher Allison Scott is batting .286. The pitching staff is anchored by senior right hander Rachel Brown who is 1-1 while working 16 innings, allowing 6 hits, 3 runs, walking 3 and has struck out 18 batters. Sophomore right hader Laura Ricciardone is 0-1 while working just 4.1 innings, allowing 7 hits, 3 runs, walking 2 and striking out 5.

In the second game, USF faces Miami (Ohio) and look to get the offense going early and often in this one.
Miami is led by senior infielder Daniela Torres (5-4) who is batting .308 with 1 home run and has driven in 6 RBIs on the year. Sophomore Kirsten Fehrenbach (5-4) is batting .32 with 5 RBIs and is 5 for 5 in steals (watch for her to steal and get things going on offense). Sophomore catcher/1st baseman Allie Larrabee (5-6) is batting .371 with 5 RBIs. Sophomore utility player Kristy Arbour (5-4) is batting .278 with 2 RBIs as well. Sophomore right hander Paige Myers (5-10) is 5-0 (.79 ERA) has pitched 35.2 innings, allowing 30 hits, walking 13 and has struck out 26 batters. Jessica Simpson (5-10) is 4-4 (1.00 ERA) has worked 56.2 innings, allowing 29 hits, walking 17, and has struck out 64 batters this season.
Once again the Bulls have a strong chance to get two wins in this double header. USF had a shot to beat Loyola Marymount, but one bad inning ruined that, but they have to put that behind them and focus on the task at hand today.
