USF Softball Beats 4th Ranked Florida

Sara Nevins is good at this softball thing.
The USF Bulls continued to roll as they went to Gainesville and beat the 4th ranked Gators, 4 to 1, the first win in 12 tries for the ladies.  USF, now 3-5 (3-0), jumped out to an early lead in this game, but faced a few bases loaded situations from the Gators, but Sara Nevins, as she has done all year, got out of the jams and secured the huge win for the 21st ranked Bulls.

Stephanie Medina was 2 for 3 with a run scored.  Ashli Goff was 1 for 3 and scored 2 runs.  Kourtney Salvarola and Janine Richardson were both 1 for 3 and drove in RBIs.  D'Anna Devine went 2 for 3.

Sara Nevins was masterful again, working the complete game, allowing 6 hits, 1 run, 3 walks, and struck out 3 as she was able to pitch herself out of trouble and kept a powerful Gator lineup off the board.

This is a huge win for the ladies as they have now won 10 straight games, this being the biggest win thus far on the year, but there is still a lot of work to do.  USF now hits the road for face Pitt over the weekend for 3 games, a key series for the ladies at the start of conference play.
