The Bulls had their 19-game winning streak snapped last night against UCONN and the ladies responded today by racking 10 hits and 11 runs to win the game 11 to 3 and take the series.  The Bulls were beat 3 to 7 yesterday, but the offense lifted them big today as they improve to 40-7 (13-1) on the year.

Lindsey Richardson got the start for the Bulls.  She worked 4 innings, allowing 4 hits, 2 runs, 2 walks, and struck out 6 batters.  Sara Nevins worked 1 inning in relief, allowing 2 hits, 1 run, and struck out 2 batters as the Bulls rolled.

The offense was on fire in this game.  Janine Richardson, moved to the lead-off spot went 2 for 3 with 1 home run, drove in 3 runs and scored 2 runs.  Gina Kafalas went 2 for 3 with 2 RBIs batting second.  Jessica Mouse went 2 for 3 with an RBI and scored 2 runs.  Stephanie Medina went 2 for 2 with a home run and drove in 2 RBIs.  Kourtney Salvarola went 1 for 1 with 2 RBIs and drew a walk on the day as well.

The Bulls are at the 40-win plateau right now, a huge accomplishment, but there is still a lot of games left.  The Bulls will host Louisville, a major Big East power on Wednesday, in a key double header.  The first game is at 4:30PM and the second game will be at 6:30PM.
