The USF Bulls were able to match the Pitt Panthers run for run in an offensive show down as they win 9 to 8 and improve their record to 25-12 (10-2) on the season, taking the series over Pitt.

Derrick Stultz got the start for the Bulls, working just 3.2 innings, allowing 9 hits, 5 runs, 2 walks, and struck out 1 in his short outing.  The bullpen took over from there.  Andrew Loynaz went 1 inning, allowing 1 hit, 2 walks, and struck out 2 batters.  Kyle Parker got one out.  Adrian Puig went 1.1 innings, allowing 4 hits, 2 runs, 2 walks, and struck out 1 batters.  Mike Clarkson went 1 inning and allowing 1 hit.  Steven Leasure worked 1.2 innings, allowing 2 hits, 1 run, and walked 1 batter as the pen held the Panthers just quiet enough in the final game of the series.

The Bulls raked out 14 hits in the big win today.  Alex Mendez went 3 for 4 and scored 2 runs.  Daniel Rockhold went 2 for 4 with a home run and drove in 3 runs.  Luis Llerena went 2 for 4 with 2 RBIs.  Chad Taylor went 2 for 5 with an RBI.  James Ramsay was 0 for 3 but drove in 2 runs on the day.  Kyle Teaf went 2 for 5 with a double and drove in a run as well.

The Bulls have already matched last year's entire win total and still have a lot of baseball ahead of them.  They will next face Bethune Cookman on Tuesday night before finally returning home to face Louisville over the weekend in a huge series.
