USF Softball Beats Bethune Cookman

After the weekend off, the USF ladies got back to work as they took on Bethune Cookman, beating them 3 to 1 to improve their overall record to 41-8 (13-3) on the season.

Sam Greiner got the start, working 4 innings, allowing 3 hits, 1 run, 1 walk, and struck out 2 batters, improving her record to 10-4 on the season.  Lindsey Richardson worked 3 scoreless innings, allowing 3 hits and struck out 6 (great to see her back in the rotation, will be huge for the stretch run).

The offense got the job done tonight.  Jessica Mouse went 1 for 2 with a bunt that drove in a run.  Laura Fountain drove in another and Alexis Nowell went 1 for 2 with an RBI.  Stephanie Medina was 1 for 2 as well.

The Bulls were able to recover a bit in this game after a rough series against Louisville.  The Bulls are still battling for the regular season Big East title, so every game is key down the stretch.  The ladies have a chance to notch some conference wins as they host Villanova over the weekend starting with a double header on Saturday (2PM and 4PM).
