USF Softball Completes the Sweep of Villanova

It went to the bottom of the 7th inning, but the USF ladies were able to beat Villanova with a 3 to 2 score to complete the 3-game sweep.  The Bulls are 44-8 (16-3) as they look to wrap up the season on a strong note heading into the Big East tournament.

Sam Greiner got the start, working 1 innings, allowing a run, a walk, and struck out a batter (also hit a batter).  Lindsey Richardson went 3 innings, allowing 2 hits, 1 walk, and struck out 4 batters.  Sara Nevins came in to work the last 3 innings, allowing 2 hits, 1 run, and struck out 2 batters.

The offense was able to do enough to get the win today.  Janine Richardson went 2 for 3 with a run scored.  Jessica Mouse went 1 for 2 with an RBI and scored a run and Alexis Nowell went 1 for 2 with an RBI.

The Bulls will look to wrap up the regular season portion of their schedule this coming weekend with Syracuse as they play a double header on Saturday and end the regular season on Sunday at 11AM.  Once again, thank you to the ladies and the senior class once again for all of their hard work.
