With both soccer teams and volleyball in action tonight, plus a big football game coming tomorrow, it was a busy night for USF athletics.

The ladies soccer team headed up I-4 to take on Georgia as part of the UCF Tournament, falling 1 to 2 to the Bulldogs, allowing a late goal after a hard fought game.

Sharla Passariello, as she has done all season, scored her 4th goal of the season in the 40th minute on an assist by Taylor Patterson to tie the game heading into the half.  Christiane Endler allowed a goal late after making 5 saves during the game as the game escaped the Bulls.  The ladies will look to get back to their winning ways with a game on Sunday at noon to end the tournament.

The men's soccer team took their 4th ranking on the road to Tulsa and beat 20th ranked SMU in the first game of the Hurricane Classic.

Ben Sweat, just like the game against Michigan to open the year, got the game winning goal on an assist from Brenton Griffiths.  Eric Osswald notched his first shut out win of his career as well as the Bulls improved to 2-0 on the year with the big win.  They will play Tulsa on Sunday at 8PM.

The volleyball team headed up Raleigh for the NC State Invitational tournament, falling in the fourth set to host NC State and dropping to 1-3 on the regular season (lost 23 to 25, 25 to 19, 27 to 29, 20 to 25).

Andrea Rodriguez Gomez had 10 kills.  Kayla Walton had 8 kills and 1 dig.  Valerie El Houssine had 12 kills and 15 digs.  J'beria Davis had 10 kills.  Claudia Cabrera had 25 digs and 5 assists.  Natalia Soares had 18 assists and 5 digs as well.

The ladies got some bad calls late and a few mistakes let the Wolfpack take the 4th set after USF had the lead.  The ladies will try to bounce back tomorrow with 2 games, starting at 10:30AM with VCU.
